The Edmund Oswald foundation is commited to serve in the rural areas. Presently the foundation is serving at Kenyasi.

Kenyasi is a mining community made up of peasant farmers. Illiteracy level here is about ninty-two percent (92). The schools here are made of mud buildings, they don't have portable drinking water in some of the communities and no teachers bungalows. Because of these problems it is very difficult to for teachers to accept postings to these communities. The youth here are engage in small scale mining which claims uncountable lives every year.The women who are involve in this business are always abused sexually therefore increasing the HIV rate every month. Women die at early age because of HIV therefore leaving their kids orphans. Christianity is also about sixteen percent (16%).making the people ignorant.

 In connection with our vision the Edmund Oswald Foundation has trained about three hundred (300) people to establish their own Business and also has planted Churches in communities and also train missionaries.

We have also giving two hundred (200) students training in ICT and we are still in the process of giving the training.

The organization is sponsoring sixteen 16 children in school.

We have also organized seminars and training for people to preach against HIV and the Effect of small scale mining.

By God’s grace most of the cultures have been dealt with and the Government of Ghana has taken up the challenge to support eliminate such illicit acts like female genital mutilation and other things.
